ABOUT - abridged
Hi. I’m Mary, that little muppet is Odie, and we run The Flourish Project. I (Mary, the human) take care of the coaching bit, while Odie offers emotional support. My coaching style draws on my training in Applied Positive Psychology, ADHD Coaching, and my personal experience navigating life with anxiety, depression, and ADHD. My mission is to offer clients a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space to design and pursue the kind of life they want to live. Wherever you are in your well-being journey, I promise to meet you there.
ABOUT – extended cut
Hi. I’m Mary, and that little muppet is Odie…

Before going into my not-so-subtle self-promotion, and your assured bewitchment (kidding), I should say that I am an anxious-depressive pessimist with ADHD (not kidding).
I should also say that Dr. Martin “Marty” Seligman, “The Father of Positive Psychology” and former President of the American Psychological Association, is a depressive pessimist too!
Why am I sharing that? For a number of reasons...
One, I will always be honest with you. Without reciprocity and transparency we aren’t going to get very far.
Two, in order to enjoy the light, we must also acknowledge and respect the dark. There is not one without the other. You will not find toxic positivity here.
Three, if Marty and I can do it – find meaning, purpose, and fulfillment in this chaotic place – you can too.
BACKGROUND
Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, I spent most of the past decade living in New York City, where I enjoyed a career in the music business, working in Artists & Repertoire (A&R) at a full-service publishing company. I lived out my childhood dream working with some of the most brilliant artists, songwriters, and producers of our time. That roster included the likes of Sharon Van Etten, Kamasi Washington, Stephen Malkmus, Sylvan Esso, St. Vincent, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Sleater-Kinney, and more.
In 2019, aiming to build a coalition of well-being support for fellow music industry professionals, I pursued a Master of Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP) degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
I then went on to attend the ADD Coach Academy (ADDCA) where I became an ADDCA Associate Certified Coach (AACC). It was here where I learned how to support the neurodivergent community – a not-so-distant cousin of the creative community.
In typical ADHD-fashion, I decided to combine all of my training, experience, and knowledge to create something new: The Flourish Project.
This company emerged from one hope and one truth.
The hope being that people will invest in their well-being, not out of necessity after hitting ‘rock bottom’ – which was my experience, and so often is the case for others – but out of a desire to cultivate the tools, mindset, and environment which may enable them to truly thrive.
And the truth being this: you matter. Your voice, experience, interests, and dreams matter. Wherever you are, whatever you are navigating, I promise to meet you there.
Accompanied by my pint-sized shadow, Odie, The Flourish Project is based out of Dallas, Texas, and accepting clients from around the globe.
